Good afternoon
Maintenance week this week at the club, so little on the golfing front to report, however a week of windy, dry weather has certainly dried the course out, hopefully we are through the worst of it and Spring isn't too far away....famous last words!
Last weekend saw the first of the Club Honours board competitions, The Red Cross Cup also the first medal event of the year, a tough day with the course playing at full length, one member commented that the 15th tee was so far back, it felt like he had one foot on Red Lodge Road! Congratulations to Dave Brooks, who scored a very respectable nett 72, which was good enough to beat Michael Parr into 2nd place with nett 73 and Jamie Proffitt in 3rd with nett 74.
As I mentioned last week we would be knocking through the wall from the shop into the swing studio, this has meant the shop is running a smaller scale than normal, but we are still open as normal and anything you might be in need of please let us know as even though most of the stock is boxed away, we can certainly find it for you.
Titleist Pro v1 4 for 3 promotion
If you are a Titleist Pro V1 user, now is the time to get your favourite golf balls for the year. Titleist are doing their promotion again, where you buy four dozen for the price of three plus you get to choose what writing goes on the ball. Have you thought what you would write on your golf ball?
How about 'if found please return too.....' or 'and this was my provisional'. I am sure you can come up with some better writing for your golf balls. They even make a great birthday present. Please let me know here if you would like to save money on your favourite golf ball.
