Good Afternoon from a sunny but certainly chilly Langley Park, all those of you who are playing at the weekend may need to dig out the woolly hats and base layers again!
Good luck to Langley member Tobin Dymock who is competing in the London Marathon this Sunday, rather him than me!
Last weekend saw the April Stroke/Lombard qualifier take place, the winner of the Lombard qualifier plays with yours truly at Walton Heath in June, the winners of the play in the grand final which is held in Portugal later in the year.
Once again with the course playing at not far off full length, and with the ground still a little soft in places, scoring was always going to be tough, and this proved to be the case as once again nett 69 (par) was the best score of the day!

Winter Foursomes
Sarah Miller and Sue Tester played Roz Galley and S Jagger in the ladies winter foursomes, in a tight match that went right to the wire, with Roz and Sharon coming out on top winning on the 19th.
Langley Park played their re-scheduled Pearson match against Wildernesse at home. Sadly the team lost 5/2. Also, I'm afraid that we are out of the Tappin Trophy having lost away to Chestfield. Better luck next year to our gallant teams.
Gap Testing - Know your yardages!
Do you know how far you really hit each club? Most people I ask will say yes, I hit a 7 iron about 150, which after a few shots is proved not to be the case! Now the season is just getting underway, book yourself in for a gapping session in the swing studio, £20 for an hour session and we can give you exact yardages for every club for both carry and roll.
