Well now I've wasted a few hours of my life watching the England Football team, things can get back to normal and the main sporting event of the year - The Open Championship is only a few weeks away, that does however mean that June has now gone and what must have been one of the wettest on record! Usually we would say it's good for the grass, I'm not sure you would all agree….
A quieter week competition wise, although The Ladies have had a successful week, with The Bradley Cook scratch team winning 4-1 away at Chislehurst, the return match at Langley is on 23rd July, and The Mail on Sunday side beating Sidcup 3-2 at home, they now progress to round 7 out of a possible 11. Good luck ladies!
Guest Day
Those of you who haven't entered there are still spaces available for this Saturdays guest day, it is a shotgun start at 9.30, find yourself 3 friends and bring them along for a fun day out.
West Hill Pro Am
Last week the team of myself, Andy Craig, Jon Service and James Thompson played in the West Hill Pro Am, with the wet weather we have had lately it was playing much longer than usual which made the scoring tricky, we returned a mid-table score of 76 points 9 behind the winner, I managed 70 to finish 2 behind European Tour player Matt Fitzpatrick and a share of 5th place.
Blue Tees
The blue tees are now out! I will shortly make up a card for those of you who wish to play the course at a slightly more friendly length, but the tees are in use and ready to go…..
