Good afternoon

In 2nd place in the other two divisions was Sharon Ahmad with 35 points and in 3rd place in the other one division was Liz Riddell with 32 points.
The best stableford score on the par 3's was won by Ruth Smith on count back from Carol Helm with 11 points.
On Friday 1st July the vets took on Chislehurst golf club on home turf. The start of play was a little wet with the heavens deciding to open, but as the day went on the skies cleared and the day turned out to be rather nice. To make the afternoon even better, the Vets took the match 5/1 for a convincing win. A good win to reverse the 5/1 defeat last week. Let's keep the momentum going.
Last Sunday, Pete and I took on Alan Pestell and Paul Goodliffe, with Paul receiving several shots (17 I think) this looked like being a tricky one. We started from the 12th to avoid the Medal Winners Bowl and Paul was quickly into his stride with a 4/3, we recovered with Petes 5/4 on 14 and then clung on to halves until my 2 at 18 looked to square the game until Alan followed me in, a win at one and at 2 saw us cross the road 1up, a 3/2 from Paul at 5 levelled the match until suddenly somebody flicked a switch and Pete birdied 6, chipped in for 3/2 at 7 and holed from 10 feet at 8 for another 3/2, a birdie from me at 9 and it was all over !
Just for the record, Pete then birdied 10 as well and finished with a nett 64 - nice......
A Reminder that the junior summer camps are starting soon, and there are a few places left for week 1 on Wednesday 27th - Friday 29th July. Call the pro shop on 02086501663 or Nick on 07496823087 for more information or to put your name down.
Is it the 'Big Three' or the 'Big Four'?
Just when you thought Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy were all set to divvy up golf's biggest prizes, along comes big-hitting Dustin Johnson. The US champion is now number two in the world and looks to be finally fulfilling his potential after another fine win at the weekend - and a big one too at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. For years Johnson seemed destined to be the bridesmaid, now he's one of the favourites to go back-to-back in Majors and take the Claret Jug back across the Atlantic.
Next week's Open at Royal Troon could be a classic
