Another week ticks by as the season draws to a close , but still plenty to report as most of the summer knockouts have been completed, the results are as follows; 

Club Championship - Max Jordan

Last Saturday saw the Junior Captain drive in, Jack O'Hare started his year in office by sending his drive down the first fairway with a large crowd out to support.


 

The Centenary trophy is awarded to the players who have improved the most handicap wise from January to September, this year's winners from the club are Josh Myford and from the juniors Kelly Woolgar.

The Club played the annual match against the Artisans last Sunday, with the Artisans out for revenge from last year it was set to be a hotly contested affair, especially with 24 players a side.... The result fell to the very last match with the result standing at 51/2-51/2 and the artisans dormy 3 up against Dave Allen and Russell Thompson, things looked ominous, Dave won 16, Russ then chipped in at 17 for a win, Dave then visited the lake along with one of his opponents, Russ missed the green but a fine chip and a well holed putt saw them grab a half from the jaws of defeat and s tied match at 6-6 so the club retained the trophy. 

The Ladies were out in force on Tuesday in their October Stableford, some fantastic scoring, especially from Anne Greatorex who led the way with 40 points, she was 8 points clear of 2nd placed Lita Landi, in division 2 Esther Mehta took top spot with 32 beating Kate Hayward on countback. 


 

The new Titleist 917 has just arrived in the shop, we have all demos available to try and pre order before the official launch of the product next week, come and try the new driver and fairways, they both have some very exciting technology, along with new shafts and a weighting system.
