Good afternoon all 

Only a few days now until British summertime officially ends, so those of you that can are making the most of the late evenings, very shortly we will be hosting some evening events in the swing studio so keep your eyes open for them as availability will be limited. 


 

Last Sunday saw the October stableford played, a full field took part in the fog delayed event, fortunately the fog didn't hang around for long and after a 30 minute delay we were able to get play underway. 

The fog clearly didn't hamper Adam Roome and his new Callaway driver and fairway wood as he romped round with 40 points to lead the field by 3 points, Gary Westbrook and David Peach were his closest challengers on 37 points, in division 2, Sashy Khanna led the way with 38 points, he was one ahead of Toby Mortimer and Julienne Wisdom.

The midweek stableford was also played last week, it was good to see that eventually Darren Field managed to put a score together with a card in his hand to record 39 points and has finally had the handicap he has been masquerading for too long cut to a respectable 14.6, he was followed by Gary Westbrook, with his 2nd runners up spot in a week with 35 points along with Stuart Williams. 




Sam Beadle is the new Langley Park Junior Club Champion, he beat Alfie Hickman in the Matchplay final, well played Sam, and the new Yonex irons must be working well! 

The junior top dog has also been decided, the top dog is awarded to the junior who has has the best 4 rounds in 9 qualifying competitions, these are 6 medals from the white tees plus the Sarah German trophy and Watkins Cup, this year's winner is Edward Soars and he will presented with the award at presentation night.
