Good afternoon everyone,
Shotgun Stableford
Well done to all those who competed last Sunday in the shotgun stableford, a huge turnout of 28 teams of four played, the format was best two scores on index 1-6 best three scores index 7-12 and all scores on index 13-18, a slightly tougher scoring event than the Texas scramble last month.
In this format, par = 108 points, Leading the way with a very impressive 117 winning Oscar Jacobson tops - Laurie Nelson, Roy Buck, John Pettitt and John Cranstoun.
Runners up with 115 in a team of three including the inform Chris Gadd was Kevin Lynn and Rob Ward, they won ProQuip wind tops. In third place, the team of Ross Mackie, Stuart Williams, Alfie Hickman, and Kent Osborn, won FootJoy shirts with a score of 113.
 
 Midweek Stableford
The midweek stableford also took place last week, with the weather not being to pleasant that day the field was somewhat smaller than usual, that said I'm not sure anyone would have beaten the score of 40 points returned by Chris Gadd (good to see the lessons working Chris) he was eight points clear of second placed Mark Stockford, who beat Gary Westbrook in third on countback.
A large field turned out on Tuesday for the ladies betterball event with the results as follows:
Two Ball Better Ball Stableford Results - Tuesday, 7 February
Winners: Evelyn Collington and Sue Tester - 38 points - won by countback.
Runners-Up: Angela Darby and Josee Gray - 38 points - second by countback.
Third Place: Kim Shead and Ross Cox - 38 Points.
