I hope you have battened down the hatches as Storm Doris blows her way through, unsurprisingly, there are not many takers on the course this morning, although I did spot Messrs Baker, Fletcher and Wild teeing off just after eight as Doris was blowing very strongly, they must be good wind players.


 

Ladies Monthly Stableford

The Ladies played their monthly stableford on Tuesday. There were some very good scoring considering the course is still playing at full length with very little roll. Jane Underwood led the way in Division One with 37 points, she was three ahead of Kelly Woolgar and six clear of Pryia Bhatia. Top spot in Division Two went to Janice Pottage with 33 points, closely followed by Ladies Vice Captain Mari Brooks and Sharon Jagger with 29 points. The Division three winner was Maureen Lacey with 32 points, with Catherine Loddo and Vicky Mitchell in second and third respectively.

Pearson Cup

The Ladies also played their first Pearson Cup match of the season, which resulted in a fine 7-0 thrashing of West Malling at home. Great start ladies, good luck for the return match. Kelly Woolgar and Tereza Russo played their first round match of the Kent four ball better ball knockouts against Lamberhurst, which ended all square, they now have a tough return fixture to contend with, good luck.

 

The Augusta Challenge

The Augusta back nine challenge is now in full flow, the current leader (I hope your sitting down) after a lesson on Tuesday and new Titleist hybrid purchase on Wednesday is Mark Pulford with 22 points. Can you beat his score? Come and have a go, £5 entry, have as many goes as you like (mark has two, but the first was his lower score) winner takes all, and will be announced on Masters Sunday.

Junior Lessons
