Good afternoon everyone,
A slightly damp week by all accounts, I suppose we were due some rain after having such a dry winter so far.
The 5 club stableford was played last weekend, and as usual scoring is pretty good considering there is only 5 clubs in the bag, it does make you wonder why we carry the other 9 !! Well played Gordon Hayward, with a very impressive 37 points.
1st: Gordon Hayward - 37 points 2nd: Richard Jones -36 points 3rd: Geoff Dicken - 36 points.
If you were fortunate to make a 2, it was worth £24 which had been added to your pro shop account.
The ladies played an 11 hole Florida team scramble on Tuesday, the results are as follows:
1st place, Kelly Woolgar, Monica Whelan, Vicki Mitchell, Catherine Loddo. 2nd place, Angela Darby, Jill Salway, Joan Pollard and Jane Soars.
Ladies team shirts are due to be ordered shortly, these are available in short or sleeveless with the LPGC logo on in black, there will be a list on the ladies board for those that are interested or speak to Angela Darby.
Langley Park Pro Am
The entry list is now on the notice board for the Club Pro Am, it is on Friday May 17th, teams of 4 which will include A PGA Professional, who will be allocated if required. The cost is £65 per member, £90 per guest, all guests must have a active official handicap. It will be a shotgun start at 11am with a buffet on completion of play. The numbers will be limited, so those of you that are interested, please reserve your team as soon as possible.
The Augusta Challenge
Mark Pulford still leads the way with 22 points, although Daniel Craig did seem intent on beating him, he had 4 attempts but 21 points was his best effort, for those of you who haven't had a go yet, £5 per entry, on the back 9 at Augusta in the studio, winner takes all!
