Good afternoon,
It's officially spring according to the calendar, and although we had a few downpours this week, the forecast for the weekend is encouraging…
Last Sunday saw the annual match of Old Members v New Members, The old members have won and retained the trophy for the past 2 years, so this year the newbies meant business and went away on a warm weather training week prior to the match, this obviously did them some good as they took this year's trophy 9-6.
The match was followed by a very enjoyable carvery, and the celebrations lasted long into the evening…
The Ladies played their March Stableford on Tuesday, a healthy 41 entries took to the course, leading the way in division one was Kelly Woolgar with 34 points, she was 4 clear of 2nd placed Lady Captain Angela Darby, who also recorded her first ever hole in one on the 18th with Tereza Russo in 3rd.
Division 2 winner was Ros Cox, Ros scored a fine 32 points to be one ahead of Patricia Ross and Mary Forrest, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively, Division 3 was once again won by Catherine Loddo with 31 points with Maureen Hitchins and 2nd and Vicky Mitchell in 3rd.
