Good afternoon everyone,
I'm sure there were a lot of tired eyes on Monday morning after The Masters on Sunday evening.
Maybe I am biased because it was 2 Europeans in contention but I thought it was one of the most spectacular events I've seen for several years, with an outstanding quality of golf, it was certainly great to see Sergio win his first major trophy.
Meanwhile back at LPGC, we were having our own Masters weekend. The Junior Masters was contented for on Saturday, The overall winner and winning his first green Jacket and The Masters trophy was Sam De Vaux, he scored 41 points to narrowly edge out Charlie Bailey on 40 with defending champion Finlay Irvine back in 3rd, in The Platter, Aiden Pushpanadan scored a huge 50 points, to believe it or not, only win by 2 points from Thomas O'Flynn on 48 points!
The Langley Park Masters was held on Sunday, the format was 18 hole singles stableford for the Jacket and trophy, there was also a team event that also included a Pro's score from The Masters being added to the aggregate of the 3 ball.
Paul Taylor came out on top with 39 points, narrowly pipping his playing partner Dan Craig on countback with Gary Pestill a further shot back on 38 points, Paul, Dan and playing partner Adam Roome also drew Justin Rose in the team event and won that as well!
Ladies Coronation Foursomes
There were run away winners in this week's ladies event, with Vice Captain Monica Whelan and Kieran Bowry leading the way with 37 points, they were 6 points clear of the rest of the field, 2nd place was shared by Lita Landi/Jane Underwood, Alison Dunkley/Alex Johnson and Ann Greatorex/Lesley Compton all on 31 points.
Don't forget this weekend is The Big Shop Cost Price Sale, many items of men's and ladies clothing, shoes, and selected hardware will have prices slashed to clear, the sale will run in the clubhouse from Good Friday at 9am till mid-day Easter Saturday, lots of great deals to be had!

It’s time to consider something different The majority of golfers are switching to Lithium batteries to power their electric trolley because, with a 5-year limited warranty, it provides a reliable and more cost-effective option than a Lead-Acid alternative. Now is the ideal time to swap as we’re offering £25 OFF a Lithium battery when you trade-in your old one. | Click here to find out why it pays to go Lithium |
