Lady Captains Day

It's rained at last! Fortunately most of the ladies who played in Lady Captains Day on Tuesday missed the downpour late in the afternoon and all had a nice day. The scoring however was exceptional with Catherine Loddo returning a huge 46 points to win by a clear 4 points from Jacquelline Darby on 42 points, Kelly Woolgar on 42 points, Debbie Pestell on 41 points and Sarah Miller with 40 points.

Catherine has now had her handicap reduced to 26, Jacquelline, down to 32, Kelly to 11, Debbie to 26 and Sarah to 6, nice playing ladies!


 

Match Report

Andy and I were challenged by Junior Craig (Dan) or air shot Dan as he's now known and Junior Assistant (Nick) last Sunday, the morning after the summer ball. They were also feeling very confident as they took up the offer on double or quits, so if they won they paid nothing but if they lost they paid double......,,you know what's coming! 

Andy and I were off to a solid start and were soon 2up, not for long as we then lost the next 3 to go one down, I was the only one to finish the 6th so back to level, Andy's 5/4 won the 7th so not a halved hole in the first 7! Halves at 8 and 9 before Dan made 3/2 at 10 to level again, we crossed the road all square before wins at 12 and 13 took us 2up. The fateful air shot occurred on the 14th tee as Dan tried to drive the green and left his ball sat firmly on the tee peg, Andy's 5/4 took us 3up and my 3 at 15 put them out their misery, lunch tasted very nice that day!


 

Junior Summer Camps 

There are still plenty of places available for this year's Summer Camps, these are run by Nick, are over 3 days, 2 hours per day at the cost of £50 per camp. The dates are as follows:

Wednesday 26th - Fri 28th July, 9am-11am or 1pm-3pm 
Wednesday 2nd - Fri 4th August, 9am-11am or 1pm-3pm 
Wednesday 16th - Fri 18th August, 9am-11am or 1pm-3pm 
Wednesday 23rd - Fri 25th August, 9am-11am or 1pm-3pm
