Welcome
Another very warm week at the club, and not even a hint of rain, even though Wimbledon has started too! Not that I'm wanting rain but maybe a little at night would make things a little less fiery on the golf course, although it is playing just about as short as you will ever see it play!
Pro-Am
The Kings Hill Pro-Am took place on Monday and my team of Gary Williamson, Ian Baker and Simon James came along for the day in a shotgun start event with 19 teams taking part.
We were off to a steady start from the 16th and with Kings Hill being very dry, the course was playing particularly short and we were soon nicely under par. Things especially got better during the round after Ian's birdie nett eagle at the 5th then followed by several par nett birdies from Gary and Simon we recorded a very respectable -18. In the individual Pro event, my round consisted of 8 birdies, 6 pars and 4 bogeys for a - 4 68. The team managed to finish 3rd and win a pair of FJ Shoes each, my 68 was only good enough for 4th as 63 -9 was the winning score followed by 2 players on 67.
Thanks gents for a very enjoyable day out.
