Good afternoon everyone,

Rain! We’ve had some rain at last, in fact we had so much Tuesday afternoon and overnight that the course had to be closed for the first hour of the day on Wednesday morning to allow it to drain away.

Invitation Day

A large field turned out last Sunday for the club invitation day with just under 70 competitors taking part in both a pairs and individual stableford event.

Leading the way in the member’s individual was Simon Williams with 36 points, he beat Richard Stoffell on countback. The leading individual guest was B Roffey, who also partnered Toby Mortimer and won the pairs event. A lovely sunny day and a fine spread of food rounded off a great day at LPGC.

Chislehurst Salvers

After last years fine victory in The salvers, the team were off to Royal Blackheath to defend the title. In the morning round we were drawn against Knole Park, who we beat in last years final, they unfortunately got their revenge with a comprehensive 5-2 victory. Blackheath beat Chislehurst, so Langley played Chislehurst and a win was needed to avoid the wooden spoon which was duly delivered with a 5-2 victory. Royal Blackheath beat Knole Park in the final to take the Salvers for this year.

Pro's Day

The list is now on the main noticeboard for my Pro's Day, teams of 4, medal, 10% off combined handicap, ladies to receive courtesy shots, shotgun start at either 8.30am or 1.30pm, £10 entry per player and open to all eligible Saturday members.

A BBQ will take place from approximately 5.30pm at the additional cost of £10 per person, families are most welcome to attend, and tickets for the BBQ will be available on the day.

This year we are also holding a raffle, not just any old raffle…………….Tickets are available from the Pro shop now at £5 per ticket, first prize will be a set of Titleist AP2 Irons worth £700, with many other prizes on offer too. This will be drawn straight after the prize giving – get your tickets now as they will sell out……..
