Bank Holiday Easter Weekend Sale

At the weekend we will be having a huge clearance sale which will start at 9am Good Friday, many items will be vastly reduced, including Oscar Jacobson, Hugo Boss, Under Armour, FootJoy, Calvin Klein and Swing out Sister clothing, FootJoy and ECCO Shoes plus some LPGC logo clothing. Red Cross Cup

120 players teed up for the Red Cross Cup on Sunday, a cool day was forecast and with the white tees as far back as they would go and little or no run on the ball, conditions were certainly a little testing to say the least! The scoring proved to be just that, as less than 10% of the field bettered the standard scratch and only 2 players beat par! But……..congratulations to James Hoare who shot 85 nett 67 to beat Adolfo Thavede by one shot, 3rd place was taken by Ian Gough with nett 70, with Geoff Dicken and Les Butler a further shot back with nett 71.

There were 18 2’s recorded, which were worth £13.33 which have been added to your Pro shop account.

Funny story of the day

Mid way through the afternoon, we received a call in the shop to say there was a member of the public on the 2nd fairway, Tom and I wandered over to find a young man complete with prayer mat on the edge of the fairway! He was unaware of the danger he was in, I explained he would have been perfectly safe if he had been in the centre of the fairway but suggested perhaps he found an alternative safer location to pray!

The other amusing story was Paul Taylor who starting from the 12th recorded an unfortunate 8 on his opening hole followed by a fine 2 at the 13th and then steadied the ship with par 5 at the 14th, only to then record a 14 at the 15th and a 10 at the 16th to be 19 over par after 5 holes……….
