Pro-Ams We have a had a good run of results in recent Pro-Ams, Tom took pole position in the Littlestone Pro-Am, on a very breezy day he returned a fine level par 71 which included an eagle two at the 15th, I went to Scotland with Dave Grannell and Perry Hanifan to play in the Highland Links Pro-Am, we played three fantastic courses, Castle Stuart, Royal Dornach, and Nairn, as a team we managed a combined score of 242 points (-26) which got us a share of 24th place (out of 52 teams) I shot scores of 75, 66, 70 for a share of 11th spot. This week we have been on Kent coast at Princes and Royal St. Georges, Tom had the pleasure of Mark Pulford, Ed McCoy and Dominic d’Inverno, whilst I played with Patrick McCoy, Simon Mason and Ian Gough. Round one at St. Georges, on a very pleasant day with a gentle breeze, Tom and I both had very average scores of 75 whilst Tom's team scored a very surprising -11 to be in third spot overnight, my team a less impressive score of -5. Day two at Princes and were of off in the first two groups, my team's slightly jaded score of -1 was not going to set much of a target, along with my +1 score of 73. Team Jordan however continued the previous day's form and recorded another -11 to set a clubhouse target of -22, Tom managed to maintain concentration, despite distractions from his team to shoot a fine 66 (-6) for a clubhouse total of -1, this was good enough to eventually finish third, the team ended in a share for fourth place, three shots behind the winners. Apparently one of the team three putted the last three greens or it may have been a different outcome…
