As another week passes with little golf to report, March is about to start so fingers crossed spring isn’t too far away and The Masters is only six week’s time. Although competitive golf at the club has been somewhat lacking of late, our assistant Tom Jordan did the sensible thing and took himself off to the Algarve for some competitive winter sun on the Algarve Tour. He played in three events over the past two weeks, starting in a two round event at Penina, scores of 71 and 73 (-2) saw him in a share for 13th place, the second event was at Palamares, after a tough opening nine in round one (which is best forgotten about) and a much better second round of 72, Tom finished in the middle of the pack. The final event was three rounds also at Palmares over the old course, scores of 73, 71 and 70 (-2) finished in a very creditable 7th spot, well played Tom! Now get back on the plane and do some re-grips…
