Good afternoon all
Well, things have certainly slowed a little this week, it seems a patch of thick, foggy cloud has descended onto the course and has made life very tough for those of you who have been out playing, the course is playing as long as it possibly could at the moment, ideal for those of you who need to practice long irons and fairway woods!
Once again, no competition results to report, the weather even scared the ladies off this week, so it must have been bad!!
Allan and I are still keen, no matter what the weather, last Sunday we played Phillip Littlewood and John Barnes. In thick fog, when we started, visibility was down to about 150 yards, which made things very interesting!
John and Phillip seemed to prefer these conditions and got himself off to a very confident start - they were soon 1up, the fog then lifted on the 8th and we recovered the deficit by the turn and then snuck ahead on 11, we halved 12 through to 16 and then a 4 at 17 was good enough to seal victory.
A good game, and even better company, thanks gents.
