Good afternoon all
A slightly colder week this week, but on the plus side of that, it does keep the rain away and the course has been drying quite nicely, that was until this morning when 12 mm of rain overnight saw the course close briefly and the trolley ban reappear! Fingers crossed for another dry spell and some wind to dry it out again.
December Stableford
Last weekend saw a big field play in the December Stableford, once again the course was playing particularly difficult with little run on the ball.
Division 1
J Dixon 35 points
G Williamson 33 points
A Brooks 33 points
J Newton 33 points
Division 2
- M Allen 37 points
- D Grannell 33 points
- K Stacey 32 points
There was a surprising amount of '2's, 13 in total, paying out £14.36 per 2, congratulations to Garry Williamson and Ian Baker who had two '2's. Unfortunately Garry didn't enter the sweep............oops!
The Ladies Christmas Lunch
The ladies played their annual Christmas event on Tuesday followed by a Christmas Lunch and then The LPGC 'Great British Bake Off', the contestants for this were Lesley Compton, Linda Foulstone and Manulita Landi. They were also fortunate to gain the services of celebrity judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.
After much deliberation and plenty of cake tasting, the judges decided that The Great British Bake Off Champion was Lady Captain Manulita Landi.
