A little quieter this week due to Maintanence Week but still plenty to report, as the club held it annual Pro-AM on Friday. A fantastic response from the members saw 31 teams take part alongside some of the best professionals in the South of England, Players such as Former PGA Champion Simon Khan, US and European Seniors Tour player Andrew Raitt, three time Challenge Tour winner Rob Coles, and former European Tour players Chris Gane and Andrew Butterfield all turned out to play. All of the pros found the course a tough test, as 67 was the best score returned, this was a 4 way tie between Rob Coles, Richard Wallis, Jordan Godwin and Scott Winyard. The team event was also a tie with a stableford score of 87 points, led by Professional James Ford, with James Bishop, Neil Williams and Rob Cullum took the top spot, winning Vokey SM8 wedges, second place, losing out on countback was the team of Adam Grainger, Dave Paterson, Chris Gadd with team Professional Jordan Godwin winning FJ Shoes, third place went to Jason French, Mark French and Ian Hall with profesional Max Brackley who with two holes to play sat at -16 only to collapse spectacularly on 17 to finsh two shots behind, they win FJ Chillout tops and in 4th was the team of Dave Roberts, Gary Westbrook, Paul Taylor and Profesional Charlie Willson, they won Oscar Jacobson shirts.
