Afternoon all,
Definitely a mixed week of sunshine and showers. I managed to get sun burnt on Wednesday and drowned on Thursday but I'll take sunburn any day!
Lots to tell you about for those of you who haven't been around starting the Captain's Platter, this was played last Saturday, and always highly competitive between the Past Captains. This years winner pictured below with Kevin Walder and Mark Letheren was 2012 Captain and current club chairman David Lennox.
The Ladies were in action playing the Lockitt Cup. Congratulations to Sarah Miller who shot 79 nett 74 to pip Alex Johnson by one and Julie Allen and Angela Darby by 2. Fortunately, me driving the buggy over the 'Please fill your divots' sign on the practice area and making a terrible noise while Sarah was teeing off the 13th didn't affect her too much!
Scratch Team
The scratch team played at home against Chislehurst on Sunday. We fielded a strong side in the second match of the season and this showed as Langley came out on top 4-1 winners, with Tom Jordan and Alfie Hickman producing the biggest winning margin of 6&5.

The Frolics
The Friday Frolics are back, and a well supported turnout saw Pam and Brian Smith lead the way with 29 points, beating Debbie and Alan Pestell in into 2nd on 26 points closely followed by Brenda and Brian Vater on 25. Keep an eye on the notice board for the next event.
