Another week flies by, and we are just about to enter August already, doesn't time fly when you're having fun!

This weekend is My Pro's Day. Thank you to all of you that have entered, the field is just about full, although there are a couple of odd spaces if you still want to play, if all goes to plan, we should have plenty of on course activities to keep you entertained, a BBQ from 4pm (so even if you can't make the golf, come up for a bite to eat) with the presentation at approximately 7pm, fingers crossed the weather holds......




Knole Park Junior Open Winner

With the summer holidays now underway, several thing happen, the kitchen gets through kilos of tomato ketchup, my chocolate sales go through the roof and junior handicaps come tumbling down! Non more so than Callum Abbott who is certainly having a purple streak, and has reduced his handicap from 8 to 5 in one week!! First of all he shot 69 nett 60 in the junior event last week at Langley, he then went to Knole Park and won the scratch prize in their Junior Open with 71 (+1) Well done Callum, keep it up!

Last weekend saw the July Stroke and Elgood Cup played. Exceptional scoring for the top half of the field with 15 played shooting nett 69 or better. Leading the way in The Elgood Cup with a fantastic nett 65 was Andrew Dixon, he was closely followed by Andy Marsh with 66, with Connor Byers and Bill Baars on nett 67. Congratulations to Connor Byers who shot nett 67 off 1 and has now reduced his handicap to scratch.

The ladies have also been in action in The Robertson Cup 5 club competition, and some fantastic performances from some of our newer members with Ros Cox leading the way with nett 72, she was 3 clear of fellow newbie Kim Shead nett 75, with Roz Galley in 3rd place. Well played ladies.




Captain Pro Challenge Last Sunday

Alan and I took on the pairing of John Sowden and John Newton, with heavy rain forecast we set off for the big match, we lost the first, and then were square by the 6th, rain had been falling since the second and both Johns were now starting to suggest they might go rusty if we stayed out much longer, we then took the executive decision on the 8th green to postpone the match to a drier day..........
