Good afternoon everyone,
Congratulations to the LPGC Ladies Peason team, for winning their match 6-1 against Dartford on Thursday, The next match is against The Wildernesse Club on Friday 3rd December... Good Luck!
A few frosty mornings this week has certainly reminded us that winter in on its way, although Thursday saw the temperature back into double figures again, it's all a little strange ! Not much to report on the competition front, although the list has gone up for the Shotgun Texas Scramble event which is being played on Monday 28th December, in teams of 4, there are a few spaces left but numbers will be kept strictly to 25 teams, so if you want to play, you'll need to be quick!
Some of you may have noticed the work that has been going on by the green staff in the copse on the 17th, this week the drainage has been installed and is ready for use, we now have 2 covered practice bays that can be used all year round, with yellow balls supplied free from the pro shop for practice.
Also arriving this week was the new Skytrak launch monitor, this fantastic piece of technology was released in America earlier in the season and was launched in the UK this week, LPGC is one of the first clubs in the country to take delivery of it.
This device records ball flight, ball spin, launch angle, club head speed, ball speed, ball carry and overall shot distance, it's fully portable so can be used on the practice area, in the nets, and hopefully, very soon indoors, it connects to an iPad, PC, or projector and gives you all the information you need to improve distance, accuracy, and consistent shot distances.
We can now custom fit any club as accurate as any of the major club manufactures as this device gives all the information needed to improve your game. To book a lesson or a custom fitting using Skytrak please call the shop on 0208 650 1663 or email me here.
Those of you who missed the Spanish night last Friday missed a great evening, plus the Hypnotic show was very entertaining!

Last Sunday saw Pete and myself take on the challenge from Micky Proffitt and Darren Field, on paper a potentially tough match, unfortunately for them golf isn't played on paper.......
We took an early lead with Petes 5/4 on the first, Daz scraped halves at 2 & 3 before we won the 4th, halves at 6,7, and 8 as Micky arrived on the 9th, much to Daz's relief, as he split his first fairway of the morning, this was unfortunately followed by a top and a fat and his ball took refuge back in his pocket, where it had been for most of the front 9!
Daz however appeared from nowhere and drained a 35ft putt for the half and we turned 2up half at 10 & a win at 11, we crossed the road 3up, further wins at 12,13,and 14 was enough to put them out their misery as we closed the game out 6&4.
