Fairway woods vs. hybrids
Most people will have both fairway woods and hybrids in their bags but, with the line between the two more blurry than ever, what should you be carrying?

Let’s take on 2025 together
As the year gets underway, you may well be considering which new year’s resolutions to take seriously, and which might need some realistic rethinking. We know one area of your life that we can certainly help you focus on: Your golf game.
When it comes to getting better at golf, it takes practice and dedication. It’s also important to start on the right foot with the best equipment in your bag, and today we want to give you a grand reveal in the form of the latest PING G440 drivers.
What makes this one of the most impressive golf drivers of 2025? Let’s get right into it…
We first want to shout about how amazing this club looks. PING has naturally built on the construction of their G430 clubs when designing the G440. The new club looks slightly glossier than the pervious model with streaks of silver running parallel alongside the PING brand name on the sole. The tungsten backweight is similarly silver, and the lime green highlighting has also been dropped for a deeper, serious looking blue. The result is a club that looks fantastic, and the tech under the hood really means business.
So, the G440 driver looks good and it feels good in our hands when we swing it, but how does it benefit our tee shots? We’ll cover all the juicy tech highlights in our video review.
The G440 range features three distinct models, the Max being the one most golfers will get on well with. With a lower face height and lighter shaft, this club allows for faster ball speeds and more general consistency. The G440 Max also has a 29-gram three-position back weight that you can use to give your shots a neutral, fade, or draw bias to influence your shot shape.
If you regularly suffer from a slice on your tee shots, the SFT driver will be your tool of choice. This driver (SFT stands for Straight Flight Technology) has been engineered to give the player excellent stability off the tee. A 23-gram adjustable back weight has two positions, Draw and Draw+, letting you dial in plenty of forgiveness should you tend to hit your shots to the right.
If you’re an adapt player that likes to shape their tee shots, the LST driver will be of interest to you. This low-spin offering from PING has a smaller, more compact clubhead that makes it more aerodynamic, and the acoustics have been tuned to give the driver a pleasing sound on impact with the ball. A three-position back weight allows for excellent shot customization.
We’re all unique golfers and we all approach the ball in a unique way. That’s why when you get up-and-running with a new driver you need to make sure it’s adjusted for your individual style of play.
You’ll know by now that there are 3 drivers in the range to choose from, but there’s a lot more to factor in before heading out on the course with one, including having the right hosel loft, lie angle, and adjustable weighting set up. When you visit us for a custom fitting, we’ll take a look at how you hit the ball and get you fitted with the set up that best benefits you.
Going over these incredible new clubs gets us longing for the spring when the weather’s fairer and we can be out on the course for longer. Why not come to grips with a new driver ahead of the busy season? We’re ready and waiting in the pro shop to help you with all your golfing needs.
