Every lie, every condition
Golf is never a clean-cut easy game, and we often find ourselves in unfavourable lies. When disaster strikes, which club do you reach for to get your game back on track?

Whacking a driver down the centre of the fairway is just about one of the best feelings in golf. There’s nothing like going to pick up your tee knowing that you’ve hit your Sunday best and received the plaudits from your playing partners.
One of the reasons we’re able to pull off such cracking shots is because of the technology packed into these clubs – as well as our unwavering natural ability! – that is getting honed and enhanced with each generation that passes.
Broadly speaking, drivers are made of three components: the grip, shaft, and clubhead. We’re all too familiar with how our favourite driver feels and performs, but have you ever wondered how the inner workings of the club help us achieve the results we’re after? Please read on as we dissect the latest Cobra drivers to give you this wonderful insight.
First of all, there are three drivers in the Aerojet range. You may not know anything about them at a glance but they all have distinct names, the Aerojet, the Aerojet Max, and the Aerojet LS.
The Aerojet is the standard entry in the range that most golfers would find a great asset to their game. Cobra have focused on delivering you faster clubhead speed to get incredible distance down the fairway.
The Aerojet Max is the most forgiving driver in the range. The Max has a draw-biased design to help you get a straighter ball flight and keep your ball on the fairway without compromising any distance.
The LS in the Aerojet LS stands for Low Spin. This club is perfect for the skilled player that wants a workable club to help them pull off a variety of shots and apply spin to the ball.
The face is naturally the part of the driver that makes contact with the ball. It’s important you make the best contact possible so Cobra have designed the Aerojet’s using intricate AI technology. The result of which means the face is covered in a variable thickness pattern, meaning you’ll get lots of consistent speed and spin when you make contact with the ball across the surface of the face.
Cobra have also given the club a “PWRSHELL” face insert which helps you get higher launch off the tee. It also enhances the sweet spot so you’ll get more ball speed across the face.
Integrated into the clubhead you’ll find Cobra’s PWR-BRIDGE weighting tech. This is a 13g weight which is suspended in the head close to the face to help lower and centralise the CG or ‘centre of gravity’. This will help lower spin and also increase the speed you make when impacting the ball.
The Aerojet has a seamless aerodynamic design to maintain a fast momentum, and has been adapted to deliver faster clubhead speed and distance. The club feels like a solid unit and is a pleasant experience at every stage of your swing.
It can only help your game to have better a better knowledge of how your club’s work. But while it’s great to know the theory, we all know that practice makes perfect. You can always contact us if you’d like to book in a lesson to help you get better at your game.
